Bulb!!

Last week Tuesday morning I got up and as usual sleepily switched on the geyser. Then brushed through both my teeth and the newspaper. I then opened the tap expecting hot water but lo!! it was cold water and all my idea to kick my tiredness and jumpstart my day "pe pani ghir gaya aur woh bhi thanda pani":-(. I managed to have a cold bath and asked my Mom to ask the electrician to check the geyser.

After repeated reminders and numerous calls, the electrician finally arrived on Thursday and all he took to fix the troublesome geyser was 2 minutes of time and his thumb (yes, I m reminded of Dhoni/Surya, in some button start geared two wheeler ad, I guess TVS Star City). Obviously you would like to know what the problem was.

The culprit was a tripped power supply. Due to some irregularity in the power supply one of the fuse had gone to auto-cut off state and incidentally our geyser was the only appliance connected to this point. If only we had looked at the power supply board and raised the plug again, I could have avoided this big BULB!!

P.S: “bulb” is an oft-repeated phrase used in Tamil, whenever u make a cartoon of yourself.
